What is Dexedrine and why is it used?

Dexedrine 5 mg is a stimulant that is used to treat ADHD and Narcolepsy. It controls hyperactivity and impulsiveness and works by increasing brain activity and improving focus and attention. This medication also helps to enhance the ability to do everyday activities like:

What do I need to tell my doctor before using it?

Tell your doctor;

• If you have moderate to severe high blood pressure, heart disease or coronary artery disease, severe anxiety, tension, or agitation, Glaucoma, overactive thyroid, heart problems, A congenital heart defect, a family history of heart disease or sudden death, high blood pressure; or a history of drug or alcohol addiction
• In case anyone in your family has; bipolar disorder, blood circulation problems in the hands or feet, seizures, psychosis, muscle twitches, depression, Tourette’s syndrome, mental illness, or an abnormal brain wave test for suicidal thoughts or actions.
• Tell the doctor about your all ongoing medications, if you are using any medicines for serious infections, Parkinson’s disease, prevention of nausea and vomiting, migraine headaches, depression, or mental illness.
• Inform if you are using opioids, herbs or any vitamins which may affect the Dexedrine.
